Another Experience to Share - Honda City

About 1 month ago, one of my friend's Honda City was broken into at Mid Valley Gardens and a laptop stolen. This was done without any visible or obvious signs of break-in.

So how did they do it?

There are 2 things you can try to take note of:

1. check for any dents or marks on the keyhole - especially the one of your car boot. Specialist equipments are available to specifically open the boot for Honda Citys.
2. When you use your remote, take note of the number of beeps it makes (only if it is original Cobra alarms - for Honda Citys). Your normal sound configuration for unlocking the doors should be 2 beeps. If there has been a break-in and the alarm triggered, there will be 4 beeps when you press your remote to open the door. This happens because alarms will normally disarm itself and lock the car again - after it was triggered - in about 10-15 seconds later.

These are some fine details that we should take note of.

We will continuously share any of these information as and when we come across them in the market.
